Hello everyone and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. This is a special time for me because I have my lovely girlfriend, my daughter, and this possibly will be my last Christmas in NY. I regret that I may not be here to see the East Side Access and the Third Track Projects be completed.
In my previous post titled Shop Till You Drop, I was talking about buying gifts online and in the store. All of them arrived on time except two. One of which is for a friend in Pennsylvania. Ironically, that is where the seller is located. I ordered two gifts from this seller, and a friend in Florida got her gift first. The expected delivery date for my other friend is not until sometime before New Years. That completely pisses me off, but whatever. As long as she gets it in one piece, I’m cool with it.
My girlfriend loved her gift. We now own a parcel of land in Scotland, and we are welcome to visit anytime. Our titles will be the Laird and the Lady; once we sign the documents. She is thinking of creating a family crest. I love the designs that she has in mind. Then again, I love how her mind works. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful woman and daughter in my life.
I spend the day with mom, and I brought one gift for her. The other one did not arrive yet. Makes me wonder if its coming from China. She was upset that all she had for me was a card. I told her don’t worry about it. She’s still around to meet her granddaughter. That’s her gift to me. She didn’t bake, but that’s okay too. I brought her a tray of Italian cookies to put a smile on her face. Her hands hurt, and that makes it difficult for her to grind her Indian spices, so I ground up garam masala for her and put it in a bottle. We Jamaicans do love our spicy food.
Just before bed yesterday, my sister called me, and we video chatted on messenger with her boyfriend, daughter, and her new boyfriend. That was so much fun since I was feeling very lonely earlier. We could easily stay up all night talking. She does a great Cockney accent, and coupled with my accent, it could be a bit from the Benny Hill Show. We always have fun when we video chat. Earlier, the girlfriend had called and gave me an update. The woman has been going like the Energiser Bunny, and doing it on two hours sleep. I hate to see her work so hard, but when the smoke clears, and we have our own house, it would have been worth it.
